2016 statistics

Every year progress is being made to equalize women and minorities in the work force.  Here are 2016 statistics about the US Work force.


  • Women hold 52% of all professional jobs, but
    • Only 3.9% Women of color hold executive or senior level positions
    • Only 6% hold CEO positions
    • Only 20% hold board positions
    • Only 25% hold executive or senior level positions
    • Only 36% hold first or mid-level management positions.


  • In 2016, the gender pay gap decreased by 0.9% but
    • Women earned $0.85 cents for each $1.00 earned by men.
    • Average salary for a women was $41,554 a year vs $51,640 a year for a men.
